Chief Executive Officer
Wes has over 30 years of senior housing leadership experience. Prior to moving to middle Tennessee in 2013, he co-founded and was Vice President of Heritage Senior Living, LLC, which owns and manages 16 properties in the Northeast. Under his leadership, all properties achieved high occupancy levels. Wes’ high standards of operational excellence, along with a focus on sales and marketing, equals high occupancy and maximized profits. Traditions’ expectation for occupancy is 100%.
Wes is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Health Care Management. He is also honored to have been elected President of the South Central Pennsylvania Alzheimer’s Association, which serves 18 counties in PA.
Jim is a partner and co-founder of Traditions Senior Living, LLC. He is also President of Century Investment Partners, Inc., a real estate development and investment company in Franklin, TN, and a partner at Century/Skanska, a joint venture construction company.
Jim has more than 20 years of business experience in Tennessee, beginning his career at Century Construction Company, Inc., a firm started by his father, James W. Cross, III in 1958. Mr. Cross is a member of the Board of Directors of Williamson Medical Center and the Board of Directors of Franklin Financial Network. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Franklin Tomorrow, Leadership Franklin, Youth Leadership Franklin, the Franklin-Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, the Williamson County Library, Battle Ground Academy, Williamson County Library Foundation, Franklin Financial Corporation, parent of Franklin National Bank, and the Tennessee affiliate Board of Directors of Fifth Third Bank in Franklin, Tennessee.
Chief Investment Officer
Blanding has more than 10 years of real estate investment management experience ranging across multiple product types and geographies. Formerly, he was a Director of Real Assets for Arlington Family Offices. In his role, Blanding was responsible for investment identification, due diligence and portfolio monitoring with a focus on real estate for the $2 billion multi-family office. Prior to Arlington, he was an Associate at Harbert Management Corp. in their US Real Estate group where he worked from 2005-2011.
Blanding attended Southern Methodist University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and History from the University of Tennessee.
Chief Marketing Officer
Julie is a highly skilled and experienced sales and marketing expert in seniors housing. Julie and the Traditions leadership team are focused on results. Using proven sales and marketing systems combined with strategic coaching focused on skills, she is always working toward the goals of 100% occupancy and resident satisfaction of “10.”
Julie has worked with companies across the country and has established a track record for driving occupancy and employee and resident retention. She has also been highly successful in coaching at all levels, including executive, sales and marketing teams, management, and regional and divisional directors.
She has considerable experience as a public speaker and has conducted hundreds of educational sessions, trainings and seminars, including state and national industry associations.
Julie earned a B.S. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and has pursued graduate-level study in counseling. Her ground-level experience in seniors housing as a sales professional, professional coach, trainer, and strategist gives Julie insight and passion into helping others reach their professional and personal goals.
Director of Human Resources
Madeline is the Director of Human Resources for Traditions Senior Living, LLC.
Prior to joining Traditions, Madeline worked for Franklin Synergy Bank in Franklin, Tennessee as the Portfolio Administrator. She is a Franklin native, a graduate of Battle Ground Academy and Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance major.
June is the Controller for Traditions Senior Living, LLC. She is an experienced attorney with more than 20 years of expertise in corporate law, contracts and business arrangements, taxation (state and federal), litigation, commercial lending and commercial real estate, and health care law and compliance. In addition, she has extensive experience in development and management of commercial real estate, including medical office and multi-family. June is actively involved as a pro-bono volunteer for Davidson County, Tennessee Legal Aid Society.
Vice President of Development
Berkeley is the Vice President of Development for Traditions Senior Living, LLC.
Regional Director of Operations
Tim Rey is a second generation elder care health services provider.
He has extensive ownership and management experience in both skilled nursing facility and assisted living, totaling over 35 years. He has spent the past 22 years specifically focused in the arena of assisted living.
Tim firmly believes that older adults should be held in high honor, and they deserve the best quality of care options to meet life’s needs. In his own words, “it is a privilege to be involved in the elder care space.”
Tim received his B.S. and M.B.A. Degrees from the University of North Alabama.
